New Delhi: The Centre will launch a scheme underneath the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for migrant labour and the urban poor to construct reasonably priced rental housing services for them.

Speaking to the media right here, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday stated that underneath the scheme, government-funded housing in numerous cities can be transformed into reasonably priced rental housing complexes underneath the public-private partnership mode.

Further, the federal government may even incentivise manufacturing items, industries, establishments, associations to develop reasonably priced rental housing complexes on their non-public land and function them.

The Centre may even incentivise state companies and central authorities organisations on the same strains to develop reasonably priced rental housing complexes and function them.
