At least eighteen workers of a chemical manufacturing unit in Maharashtra’s Pune have died and a number of other are lacking as a large hearth broke out within the sanitiser-manufacturing unit of the agency on Monday.
An enormous contingent of the native hearth division was current on the spot to combat the blaze and rescue these caught inside, officers stated.
According to information company PTI, a minimum of six hearth engines had been rushed to the plant of SVS Aqua Technologies in Pune.
The native hearth division advised NDTV that 37 workers had been working contained in the unit when the hearth broke out; 20 of them had been rescued.
“According to company officials, at least 17 of their workers were missing after the blaze broke out,” an official advised the company.
In visuals, a thick plume of black smoke is seen over the campus of the sanitiser agency. People run in the direction of security close to the gate, whereas others stand nonetheless to observe the hearth.
The hearth is now below management and seek for the lacking staff is underway, officers stated.
