New colourful Rs 20 note is here…Know what is special

New Delhi, Apr 27: With changing times, the  Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is getting trendy and hep. And this is reflected in the colour schemes of new currency notes. So, get ready for a new and jazzy Rs 20 note.
In coming days, RBI will gift you a  “greenish yellow” Rs 20 note. The new notes will be in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) series, and will have RBI  governor Shaktikanta Das.
In a statement, RBI said, “The base colour of the note is Greenish Yellow. The note has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at the obverse and reverse.”

“The new (Rs 20) denomination has motif of Ellora Caves on the reverse, depicting the country’s cultural heritage,”  added the statement.
